Gentlemen:
Following our meeting last night, I spoke with Steve Auld over the phone. I informed him that our governing board was unanimous in determining that the Lord's hand was upon this arrangement. I expressed to him my own appreciation for his servant heart and my desire to minister alongside him if he felt the call of the Lord to come to Whiteville. He then shared with me briefly his own testimony of the Lord's hand on Him during this season of his life, and felt just as strongly that the Lord was leading him here. I am currently awaiting an e-mail from him that I will add my own comments to and then share with the school staff this afternoon. This evening, I will have a copy of that e-mail available to read to our Wednesday night group. Phil and Scott - I will provide you with one to read to your crowd as well. Additionally, Steve will get me a date for a Sunday when he and his wife can come for a church service, and we will schedule that afternoon for him to meet the staff over coffee and cake in the fellowship hall. I am very much encouraged by the Lord's answer to our prayers, and I am grateful to every one of you for your prayers and your own part in working together for the glory of the Lord and the benefit of our ministry. Let me also say, on a more personal note, how much I appreciate each one of you. There is an obvious concern, on your part, for my own well-being and encouragement and it means more to me than I can tell you. There is also an equally obvious commitment to the ministry of our church. It is truly a rare gift to have a group of people who are so committed to the ministry that they are willing to personally sacrifice to see the Lord's work continue and His will accomplished. I feel deeply privileged to minister alongside you and am confident that the Lord's hand is upon this ministry and that we will shortly be able to lok back on this season and marvel at what God was doing in our midst. I love you and appreciate you, - Justin
